Thirteen (13) anglers from Chuckery AC turned out for this Sunday club match on the Island pool. Conditions on the day were very warm with hardly a breath of wind about. It was a decent winning weight on the day, but back-up weights dropped off very quickly suggesting the fish were tightly shoaled up, which would perhaps suggest they may be getting ready to spawn.
Topping the thirteen-man field was Arnie Woolhouse, who drew fancied peg 27. Fishing meat long at 14.5m over to the island, Arnie found a good average stamp of fish to weigh in 72-02-00 and win the match by a comfortable margin.
Finishing in second place was Wilf Pearce. Alternating between 6mm banded pellet on the pole before targeting edge fish with dead red maggot, Wilf ended the day with 41-07-00.
A way of the pace, but still managing third place overall, was Darren Young with 18-04-00.
