Twelve (12) anglers from Matrix AC attended this Saturday club match on the Island pool. Conditions on the day started off relatively pleasant with periods of sunshine between the cloud cover. However, midway through the match, the heavens opened up and a short but angry thunderstorm blew in bringing with it rain and even hail! That said, it was a close match with not much separating the top four anglers.
Winner on the day was S. Brookes, who weighed in 65-14-00. Fishing pole and pellet shallow for most of the match, he then moved down his edge late on to find a couple of bonus margin fish to top the field by the narrowest of margins.
Taking second place was P. Homer with 64-01-00. Fishing a method feeder with micros and hard pellet on the hook, he found carp and a handful of F1's.
S. Atkins secured third place offering a level 60lbs to the scales. He caught on pellet shallow and on the deck short at 6m.
Fourth place on the day was J. Watkins who ended proceedings with 57-03-00.
