The Woodside Silverfish Series concluded on 16th December in dramatic fashion with current local Champion Max Galaszewski holding on to retain his title by less than 3lbs!
Over the course of the six round series, Max weighed in a total of 112-03-00 compared to Dan's 109-04-00 to walk away with the £100 first place prize, plus additional winnings from each round, plus the biggest perch prize which Max collected on two occasions.
Dan pushed Max all the way managing to win the final round in the process, but finished just shy of Max's cumulative weight. Dan picked up £75 for his efforts plus prizes from each round and a single biggest perch prize with the biggest perch of the series tipping the scales at 2lbs 6oz.
Jeff Rush finished in third place collecting £50 after superb fifth and sixth round results saw him snatch a podium finish at the death.
