Fourteen (14) anglers from Halfway House AC attended this latest Saturday match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were horrendous with gale force winds battering the complex for the full duration of the match. The match was originally scheduled to be held on the Island pool but, because of how severe the wind was, the match was moved to the bottom pool in an effort to escape the worst of the weather.
Winner on the day was Mark Shaw who drew peg 10. Opting to fish paste in the margins for the full five hours, Mark was able to find some quality fish to weigh in 64-00-00 exactly.
Michael Stokes finished in second place from peg 21. Again, fishing in his margins, Michael offered corn at top two plus two to find mainly carp and skimmers to offer 46-08-00 to the scales.
M. Steventon took third place from peg 13 with a weight of 33-12-00. Fishing maggot on the deck at four metres, he was able to find small carp and silvers.
