Jolly Carter AC, Woodside Pool

Twelve (12) anglers attended this Saturday club match for new club, the Jolly Carter. Conditions on the day marked a significant drop in temperature coupled with cloud cover and rain in the afternoon - a stark contrast to the thirty two degrees recorded just twenty four hours prior. Needless to say, fishing on the day was extremely difficult with recorded weights being among the lowest of the season so far.

Winner on the day was Andy Maddox, who drew peg 5. Fishing paste down his edge for most of the match, Andy managed to find a handful of decent fish to weigh in a modest 40-06-00.

Second place was taken by Steve Wainwright from peg 12. Opting to fish single maggot down his edge over 4mm fishery pellet, Steve found mainly carp with roach and skimmers to offer 32-03-00 to the scales.

Taking the last of the podium positions was Tony Woodward, who drew peg 3 close to the point of the island. Fishing the pellet waggler, Tony managed to find odd fish patrolling the far shelf to weigh in 28-04-00.
