Old Hill Legion AC, Woodside Pool

Eleven (11) anglers turned up for this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. The hot weather continued for this latest fixture with the mercury nudging thirty degrees.

Winner on the day was Dave Lewis, who drew peg 6 opposite the pads in the corner. Alternating between corn and dead maggot down his left hand edge, Dave found small carp in numbers with just a few bigger fish to weigh in 62-14-00.

Second place was taken by Kevin Steadman from peg 10 on the point of the island. Opting to fish dead maggot over to the island after the margins surprisingly failed to produce, K managed a final 47-03-00.

Tony Billingham picked up third place from peg 14. Fishing pellet down his edge, T found fewer fish, but the carp that did grace his net were a superb stamp giving him 41-11-00.
