Twenty one (21) anglers from White Hall AC attended this Sunday contest pegged across both Woodside and Island pools. Conditions on the day marked quite a big change in the weather with rain and wind making temperatures feeling a lot cooler compared to recent weeks.
WOODSIDE POOL
Winner on the day was Alan Williams, who drew peg 3 close to the point of the island. Alternating between both the feeder and his margins on the pole with dead maggot over groundbait, Alan managed to find small carp in numbers up to approx. 5lbs to offer 40-02-00 to the scales.
Second place was taken by Alan Loveridge on peg 19. Alan caught mostly carp on pole and pellet fished short and down his edge to weigh in 27-12-00.
Third place on Woodside pool was Mike Hope, who drew corner peg 6 by the pads. Opting to fish maggot short for the majority of the match, Mike found mainly silvers with a handful of carp to weigh in 25-04-00.

ISLAND POOL
Winner on the Island pool was Martin Sharp, who drew peg 6 in the middle of the dam wall. Opting to fish the feeder for most of the match, Martin found mainly carp of a decent stamp with a handful of roach and skimmer bream to weigh in 61-01-00.
Second placed Dan Syddall ended the match with 49-14-00 from neighbouring peg 8. Fishing the method feeder, Dan found small carp in numbers to finish narrowly ahead of third placed Liam Purser.
Liam endured a difficult start to his match with not a single carp having graced his net within the opening two hours of the match. However, a switch to paste down his edge produced a late run of good fish to give him a final weight of 40-07-00.
